Surf Journal - 2016.06.03 - Mitchells and The Lane
Woke up at 4:30 am to see a sliver of a moon rising over Nisenne Marks. Got in at Mitchells at 6 am at around a 1.3ish tide. Lots of waiting, Mitchells needed a bit of a lower tide and a hair more swell. Had the tide been lower there would have been more to offer. Similar story the day prior at natural bridges. I opted to surf with the family on the beach and caught only 4 waves in 2 hours. However before the tide came up I caught a nugget high line into a mini barrel.
The lane today was firing though the crews were holding it down pretty hard and I wa feeling rather passive. Though I caught plenty of waves in the 1 hour I was out. I got in at the lane at 8 after 1.5 hours at Mitchells.
