In the last month I've been spending most of my energy coming to grips with change, uncertainty, and myself. The family has been working on downsizing and ridding ourselves of almost everything non-essential to simplify our lives. Although conceptually the idea sounds very freeing to me, in actuality letting go of stuff that I have acquired over the last 15+ years has been extremely difficult. I've been feeling like a failure when giving away items that I was convinced I would put to use and do something great with. It's been hard but equally freeing to see so many dreams get dropped off at the thrift store and picked up by friends.
<BR><BR>
This purging process has led to many musings about the efficient usage of resources. Things sit and decay without being used to their full potential. In order to lower unnecessary consumption users of the network would have an inventory section in their profiles to showcase resources available for rental/trade/barter. In this way people will be able to get compensated for resources they've worked to acquire and more people will be able to have access to tools they may not have previously been able to. To build a sustainable future we need to start looking for opportunities to help those closest to us, being good stewards not only to the land but also to the goods that have come into our lives (it is easy to forget that these <i>things</i> came from the land as well).

From the beginning of the collective consciousness until now we have been building. Our race is a product of this building process 4 billion years in the making. The magically wild and diverse flora, fauna, and geography that pervades us are the survivors of what most believe to be a never ending battle for supremacy, pro-creation, and gene dominance. This concept, "survival of the fittest" pervades each and every aspect of our modern society, giving rise to the cut-throat mentality that permeates the cultures of all leading technological, social, and academic fields. This dog eat dog motto is written into our genes at the most fundamental level and manifests itself in infinite ways, from the desire to have more than we need, to the desire to be in a physically desirable state, or the desire to see our children be the first or best at this or that. <BR><BR>
 
For life to exist in its current state this idea is fundamental, however for life to continue in a sustainable fashion this idea needs to be looked at from a completely new angle and turned upside-down. All that is needed for this turning upside down to occur is a recognition of the interconnectivity of all things, with a true vision of interconnection success becomes the long term, the infinite future of our children and fellow species. The survival of the fittest is no longer limited to the individual and his direct surroundings but is extended to the edge of the universe. When this concept is fully embraced one is compelled to simplify and to harness all possible knowledge accumulated by his predecessors in the most efficient ways, in doing this he learns who he is and the value he has as part of the universal community and the value he can give to his surroundings. I believe this is the magical world that many mystic writers, prophets, and musicians often touch upon but fly way over most of us including the originators themselves. It is my firm belief that in the recognition of our true connectivity we can harness the interconnecting power of technology and create a new society based around simplicity, sustainability, and most importantly true self-expression.

7/12/2014 - Fourth Moon (1st in the phase of 3 super-moons).<BR>

I sit on the porch facing South, eagerly waiting for the first in a group of three super-moons to shine through the redwood-moon-window. Looking back at the time spent in the last three moons feels like a lifetime. A new son, a perspective on life turned upsidedown, and a new belief that technology may be able to bring us back in sync with the environments around us once again. Time is such a mysterious thing, when you look at it on a macro scale it seems that it moves so quickly, however when you look at it in a micro scale, thinking about what happened day to day, it feels like there is an infinite amount of time. Jacey and I wrote a new song since the last moon and it does well to sum up what I've been feeling recently. With a belief that we all have vital work to do and we all have something essential to offer I share this new song with you.<BR><BR>

In the last month I have actively put what I consider to be the heart of myself on the precipice and in the hands of some close and distant relations in an attempt to learn more about what I value and whether or not this vision is truly a worthwhile endeavor and not some idealistic pipe dream. There have been moments of doubt and there have been moments of confidence but through it all there is a solid foundation convicted on the idea that an immutable content platform mixed with a Human desire poised on sustainability could be the only true savior for a healthy future.
<BR><BR>
As the scope of my vision is grandiose my first challenge has been to whittle down my cultural philosophy into a simple and applicable form. I have been pondering this endlessly and now know that the first manifestation will be a non-profit music distribution service.

5/14/2014 - Second Moon.<BR>

As promised, I had hoped to have a story to share with you tonight though the inspiration I've been looking for has yet to come and the stories burning inside me will have to burn a bit longer. 
<BR><BR>
While lounging on the porch and admiring the full moon light cutting through the redwoods I'll share a few clarifications and musings since the Bloodmoon. During the last 28 days I've had many conversations in regards to my ideas. Discussions about finger prints, the police, the definition of art, and general confusion, etc.
<BR><BR>
I will start by saying that the hope for the software/network I am proposing is to encourage and show the value of ernest learning and sharing. As an artist I've spent endless hours creating but I've never felt there to be a proper platform to share from. I envision a content distribution platform made by Humans sharing their lives (much as they're already doing on Facebook, YouTube, etc.) but instead of sharing into the traditional cloud, they share into each others local storage and bandwidth, creating a super-mega-cloud (ku.cloud). In addition, instead of personal information, videos, blog, etc. being used to strategically market back at you, quite contrary, your original content can be exchanged/bartered via BitCoin. The incentive to purchase a work would be the ability to add it into your permanent personal catalog, always available on all your devices, forever. In addition, all purchased content can be traded and bartered within the system.
<BR><BR>
In regards to the police. I feel strongly all police should have video cameras running on their persons at all times so they can be accountable for what they do. The technology is there.
<BR><BR>
Some people have been creeped out about the idea of collection of finger prints, rightfully so. It's not absolutely neccessary to collect finger prints. However, whatever verification method is chosen must confirm the direct connection of existence to one physical Human being and only one for the rest of eternity. This is paramount!
<BR><BR>

    The time has come for total transparency, the technologies that have been created to help us have not nurtured a sustainable culture. In-fact I feel that the technologies that should be our Saviours have been diluted and obfuscated by consumerism. I am establishing a platform that gets to the heart of knowledge and the intrinsic value of our minds.
    <BR><BR>
     It is time we create a transparent network leveraging using all possible devices with any type of wired or wireless transmission. Based on the principles of mesh networking and the law of conservation: data will be able to live and flow between users in a natural fashion. The wireless, storage, battery, monitoring, etc. technologies have evolved to a point where they can enable us to share between each other.
     <BR><BR>
    For example, people in Hawaii love Reggae music, so... Harddrives, flashsticks, phones, rokus, tvs, stereos, projectors, etc. on the islands would have a lot of Reggae music on them because that's what unites the local populace. If a user has a lot of reggae and flys in an airplane to another country that is reggae starved, he/she/it could share his/her/it library with anyone in his vicinity spreading the joys of art like a stone in a pond. Why are we not more connected?
    <BR><BR>
    This platform will be a native application for all platforms, only users who have registered can view the platform. *UNLESS: You login as the government, in which case, you'll all have the same login, "governments". I'll disclose the password at the Sept. 1 launch date.
   <BR><BR>
    Amongst other things, this is first and foremost a copyrighting platform for the planet, specifically the Human populace. Copyright law stipulates that an idea belongs to you at the moment of conception as long as you can prove you were the first to put thought into action. To be sure an accurate record of IP is kept: anything posted on this platform will never be deleted. Every keystroke will be a resounding gong for those willing.
    <BR><BR>
    Based upon the copyrighting laws you will be able to monetize any content on your feed as long as its original content. Unoriginal content WILL NOT be tolerated as it violates laws the world round. The essence of the platform is that it's all original content and thus can be monetized immediately.
    <BR><BR>
    I will be using myself as an example to test this approach. Starting 4/29/14 and over the course of 3 weeks I will consecutively write 1 story a week about 3 dear friends who are down in the dirt.
    <BR><BR>
    The first story is of Mark Rife. Mark was my childhood Christian mentor and took his own life 3 years after his wife died in her sleep.
    <BR><BR>
    The second story is of a homeless man, John Forsythe. I met John hitching 5 years ago, he died from an epileptic seizure in the San Lorenzo.
    <BR><BR>
    The third story is of Brandon Marshall. Brandon was shot and beat to death by the Police 5 minutes after I delivered him safely to the fire department.
    <BR><BR>
You will be able to donate what you think each one of these stories are worth to you. If you feel they offer you nothing, no worries, read and leave them be. If you think they have value please support the initial website feed by donating via google wallet. I will keep a public counter of all donations beside each work. When the site goes live we will move away from USD and into BitCoin/and/or a computation-based currency that feels most stable during the 9/1/14 launch.

We believe that people have trouble being accountable to themselves. The government is already watching us, why cant we watch each other? We should be accountable to each other. I will practice this.
